Filtrona Porous Technologies Medical Grade Hydrophilic Foam is specifically engineered for advanced wound care applications.

Catalyst free and custom formulated, our products achieve super absorbency to rapidly wick exudate and are suited to a variety of general and specific applications within the segment, from conventional absorbent dressings to specialty foam media for negative pressure and tunneling wound needs.

Filtrona Porous Technologies MediSponge® wound care products may absorb as much as 15x their own weight as well as feature the inclusion of special active ingredients and pharmaceuticals, such as silver ion technology.

MediSponge® 30: a soft, cut-to-thickness medical grade foam, with a minimum and maximum thickness of 0.2 cm and 3.3 cm respectively.

MediSponge® 50: a cost-efficient, poured-to-thickness foam with a minimum and maximum thickness of 0.3 cm and 0.6 cm respetively

NEW! MediSponge® RBR: a fiber-reinforced medical grade foam ideal for longer-term care solutions as well as specialty wound applications, such as negative pressure therapy solutions. The fiber rebar-like matrix throughout the foam media enhances tensile strength by a factor of 600 and improves other product integrity characteristics, such as expansion and tear-strength.
